We Love it Here. Is That Ok?

  Falling asleep with the cool 'winter' breezes blowing through our room, listening to monkeys chatter, while waves crash on the sand somewhere in the distance, I thought, "I really love it here."   My second thought was, "Too bad I can't share this part of our life."   WHAT?! Why not? Why do I feel the need to amplify the negative instead of glorifying God for all the beauty and joy that we have found here?   It started many years ago with some good advice, "Be careful how you represent your life there. All it took was Covid...

Y'all, it has been SIX months since I last wrote a blog post. I can't believe it has been so long. We have: started homeschooling Addalyn, said goodbye to good friends, traveled to the US for New Years and doctor visits, welcomed new people, had three family visits and a friend visit and two mission teams visit, watched church grow, taken on new roles, and welcomed back an old one. Why am I finally able to sit down at catch you up now? I have covid. So, since I am stuck in my room avoiding my family and trying my best to keep my germs to myself, I realized that it's the perfect chance to share with all of you what's been happen way down here in St Kitts! April Showers (Or the Beginning of Dry Season)

Recently I started reading through Revelation. It's the last book in my journey to read through the entire Bible. It MAY have taken a little more than a year lol. I'm not gonna lie, there were some books I was not excited to dive into (Leviticus? Numbers? Habakuk???). However, God has used each book in His precious word to speak to me in whatever season I have been walking through. I expected to learn a lot about Revelation, but not necessarily from Revelation. I had always viewed it as a way to understand what's coming, but maybe not what I'm dealing with now. But praise God for His LIVING word! It never fails to meet me where I am and speak life over me.  April was not much different than March. Phone calls, reaching out, being told "next week", "next month", waiting, waiting, waiting.
