Leaving Sunday!
I can't believe that we will be back on the precious island of St Kitts in 6 days! I feel like I have so much to do, but everything is really getting wrapped up nicely :) Our team is ready. Chase got all of his support raised! Praise God! Thank you to all of you that prayed for him and gave to help him reach his goal.
This last week and a half has been NUTS in the Comer house. We have felt Satan attacking us from all sides. Everyone one of us was sick at some point, there were terrible attitudes, pulled muscles and hurt feelings. Aaron was snowed in at work over night. There were feelings of anxiety and of being overwhelmed. There were days of missed work and lost income. But, more importantly, there has always been God! At every turn and bend there was God. Even when it felt like we were hitting rock bottom and everything was piling up on us, there was God. And God always wins. We are so excited for this trip. We KNOW God has big plans for it, otherwise Satan wouldn't care what state we were in leading up to it.
Please be praying for our family, and each of our team members this week.
Pray for protection from attacks of the enemy
Pray for time and organization to get everything ready
Pray for each of our walks with God and that we put that ahead of everything else
Pray for safe and smooth travel on Sunday with no surprises and no delays
Pray for the friends and family staying here that will be missing their children/girlfriends/grandchildren ect
Please pray for the island of St Kitts and the people there that we will come in contact with
Pray for the Graysons and McGaugheys as they finish up preparations on the island for all of us and for the Festival of Life
Pray for lives to be changed forever!
If you would still like to help, you can donate the following items that we need:
Basketball nets - nylon
Screw or bolts to install new basketball rims onto backboards (we need 20)
40-gallon heavy duty trash bags
$60 to buy plywood on the island to make a basketball back board for a school
Snack foods for the child care we are in charge of (crackers, fruit snacks, ect)
Coloring books/crayons/simple activities for the child care (but nothing with tiny pieces, we cant make a mess)
Thank you all!
In His Love,
The Comers
